DiaMonTech secures first place at the Health Tech Challengers

BERLIN, NOVEMBER 30, 2023

Health Tech Challengers is a platform to discover and support innovative digital health startups that are making a difference in the world. Each year, a pitch competition is held for entrepreneurs who are developing disruptive products and revolutionizing the future of health. To participate, startups must be innovators in one of five areas that are driving the digital health revolution: Chronic Disease Management; Mental, Holistic and Sleep Health; Nutrition, Metabolic and Gut Health; Gender Specific Health; or Problem Solving X (Wild Card).

DiaMonTech receives recognition as the most innovative startup in the field of "Nutrition, Metabolic and Gut Health" in this prestigious competition, securing first place. The award highlights DiaMonTech's groundbreaking work in developing a medical device that measures blood glucose levels non-invasively.

Project: non-invasive blood glucose monitor "DMT-Pocket". The goal of the project is the implementation of the scientific method of photothermal spectroscopy into a mobile medical product for non-invasive blood glucose measurement for the end customer. The focus is on measurement accuracy, miniaturization and the successful certification of the device. The measuring device to be developed (DMT Pocket) has the shape and size of a common smartphone. The measurement for the end customer is fast, very easy to perform and without further interference. The end customer places a finger on the sensor field, waits about 10-15 seconds and the device shows the blood glucose value directly on the display. The actual measuring process is absolutely painless and without any risk.The procedure will be very similar to unlocking a mobile phone with a fingerprint sensor.
