As part of MotionLab.Berlin’s Tech Talent Program, five students developed an automated test station for DiaMonTech’s future production. The station is intended to be used in the manufacture of up to 100,000 non-invasive blood glucose monitors—making it not merely an academic project, but a concrete component of DiaMonTech’s future production infrastructure.

The team was mentored by DiaMonTech CTO Michael Kaluza. He provides the students with direct access to the company’s technology and development environments and has continuously supported the project throughout its implementation.

This collaboration demonstrates the potential that arises when deep-tech companies, innovation ecosystems, and young talent come together: real-world technical challenges meet new perspectives, hands-on development work, and access to modern manufacturing technologies.

What began with an award has thus evolved into a collaboration that supports DiaMonTech in addressing a key challenge on its path to scaling up: the ability to reliably produce innovative medical technology on a larger scale.
